Alex Beard, a college student from Memphis, Tennessee, has designed refreshing, usable interfaces in a freelance capacity since 2003. Having had his first lesson in HTML when he was in the sixth grade, he has always had a keen interest in computer programming, specifically as it relates to the web. In the past, Alex has done work for small, startup companies and well-established businesses alike. Though he thoroughly enjoys the development aspect of this field, he focuses his attention primarily on crafting simple, standards-compliant designs for the web.
